Get set up with the Noteworth Connect app

Noteworth helps patients share health information with their doctor.

You can use the links below to download the Noteworth Connect App. If you have an iPhone, click on the App Store link. If you have an Android phone, click on the Google Play link.

Follow these 3 steps to get your Noteworth account set up and running in no time! By the end of step 3,  you'll be using the app to connect with your doctor.

The 3 Steps to Success

  1. Download the Noteworth Connect app
  2. Set your password
  3. Navigate the app

Each step just takes a few minutes. You can complete the steps one at a time, or work through this whole process and be rolling in 5-10.

The App Store and Google Play links above take you where you need to go to download the Noteworth Connect App. We recommend clicking the links using your smartphone, and the step-by-step instructions below will walk you through the process. 

Step 1. Download the app

This section describes how to download the Noteworth Connect App, the first step in getting started with your doctor. 

You can accomplish this task via your welcome text message ( option #1) or by directly going to the App Store (option #2). 

Option 1. Text Message (SMS) 

The most common way people get the app onto their phone is by following the link in the text message that Noteworth sends to you after your doctor registers you into a program. Follow these instructions when you received a text from Noteworth. 

1. Get your smartphone 
2. Look at your text messages (SMS) 

When your physician enrolls you in Noteworth, you receive a welcome message from Noteworth that looks like this. 

(If you did not receive a welcome text, make sure that your doctor has entered your correct phone number. If they have and you still haven't received a text message, please scroll down and follow the directions for " Option #2. App Store" below.)

3. Tap the link in the text (likely blue)

Your phone will automatically open the App Store page, where you can get the Noteworth Connect app for free. 

Note: If you have an iPhone, the link will open the App Store. If you have an Android, the link will open the Google Play Store for Android.

4. Tap the "get" or "install" button

You may need to authenticate your download with your password. 

5. Wait for a few seconds

The app has to download on your phone. Wait until you see that the app has fully downloaded before proceeding.

6. Go to your home screen 

On your phone, find the app logo for Noteworth that looks like this. 👇

7. Tap on the app icon

The app will open.

8. Tap "Get Started" 

Great! Now skip below to Step 2. Update your Profile

Option #2. App Store 

1. Get your smartphone 

Turn it on. (It doesn't matter to us if it's an iPhone or Android)

2. Go to the app store on your smartphone

If you have an iPhone, look for an app icon that looks like the image below.

If you have an Android device, look for an app icon that looks like the image below. 

3. Search for "Noteworth Connect"

Once you have the app store open on your phone, find the search bar. 

Type the text "Noteworth Connect" into the search bar and then tap enter. 

4. Make sure it's the right app! 

The app you want to download should look like this image below.

5. Tap "Get" or "Install" to download the app. 

You may need to authenticate your download with your password.  

6. Wait for a few seconds

The app has to download on your phone. Wait until you see that the app has fully downloaded before proceeding.

7. Go to your home screen 

On your phone, find the app logo for Noteworth Connect that looks like this. 

8. Tap on the app icon 

The app will open. 

9. Tap "Get Started," 

Now proceed to Step 2 below!

Step 2. Update your profile

(Already set a password? Skip to the next step)

Now that you downloaded the app, it's time to update your profile. We say "update" and not "create" because your physician created your profile. All you have to do is authenticate your device and set a password. The steps below show you how. 

1. Open the Noteworth Connect app on your smartphone.
2. Tap "GET STARTED"

3. Tap "next" after the explanation
"Your doctor has enrolled you into Noteworth to help you work collaboratively with your care team towards reaching your health goals." 
4. Enter your mobile phone number and email address

Use the number and email that your physician used to enroll you in the Noteworth program. 

5. Tap "next".
6. You'll receive a text message from Noteworth

7. Enter the 6-digit verification code 

You should receive a message that allows you to automatically add the verification code. On the iPhone you'll se this right above the keyboard. On an Android phone you'll see a message pop up asking you permission to "Allow". Click on allow and the verification code will auto-populate into the code section. 

If this doesn't happen, you can go into your text messages and find the code. Then put the code you received via text message into the verification screen in the app (see image below).

8. Tap "NEXT"
9. Select a strong password

Because physicians and patients need to keep medical information private and secure, we require all users to include the following elements in their password:

  • Capital letter
  • Lowercase letter
  • a number
  • a symbol (e.g. !@#$%)
  • must be 8 characters long

(Pro tip! Some customers find it helpful to write their new password down on a piece of paper so they can be sure to have all of the elements required in the list above).

10. Enter your new password on the line that says "Set Password"
11. Reenter your password on the line that says "Confirm Password"
11. Tap "FINISH"

By tapping "Finish" you agree to Noteworth's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Now that you've selected your password, your account is ready to start using the app. Just one more thing to ensure your information is secure.

12. Go to your email inbox
13. Find and open the email from Noteworth with the subject line "Verify Email Address"
14. Tap or click the button "VERIFY EMAIL"

That's it! You're all set up with your account, and you can rest assured that your strong password and our cybersecurity policies are keeping your information between you and your doctor!

Step 3. Navigate the app

Now that your account is set up, let's walk through the essentials of how you will use the app to share information with your physician. 

1. Read the instructions!

When you log in for the first time, you will see a series of 4 cards that describe the basics. Tap "NEXT" to get to the next card and "FINISH" to start using the app. You may also see info cards for your particular program.

Let's dig a little deeper to explain how the app works so you can use it easily.

2. Home Screen

Your home screen is customized to you based on the program your doctor enrolled you in. But all programs should look similar to this:

The home screen is broken into several sections. In the middle of the screen, you'll see your upcoming video visit appointment, or a graph showing your symptoms and health changes over time. In the picture above, this is represented by the scheduled video visit appointment reminder with Dr. Rod Kimble, MD.

3. Your Tasks

Toward the bottom of your home screen, you will see a card with "Your tasks". These cards indicate what you should do next! In the image above, the card says "Take your previsit questionnaire"

If you accomplish all of your tasks, then you give your doctor the information they need to provide the best healthcare. 

4. Swipe left for more!

To navigate through your tasks and to other main areas of the app, simply swipe left. Swipe left on the top or middle of the screen to change to a new viewing window. If you swipe on the task itself, you will see the other tasks on your list.

The other areas are where you will review patient education and submit health information like physical activity, manage your medication, and much more. Again, what you see will depend on which type of program your physician signed you up for.

5. Explore

At the bottom of the home screen, you'll see a button that says "Explore". 

Look around in the "explore" section for each main screen in your health program. You will find reminders, access to articles, and easy ways to access your tasks and important information.

6. It's all about YOU!

The icon at the top right of the screen with a person is where you will find the app settings and your profile information. 

If you tap that icon, you will see a screen that provides links to your Home Screen, My Profile, My Tasks, and Settings. 

Remember, each healthcare program is different, so we recommend using the explore feature to find out more about your specific program.
